REGISTRATION FOR 2010-11 SCHOOL YEAR:

- Registration is ongoing for fall preschool classes. Space is available for ages 2-4 but is limited for some ages. Call CLC office, 301-987-5454, for current status.

Inclement Weather Policy

Inclement Weather Delays and Closings: If Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) open two hours late, CLC will:

cancel AM classes - Hummingbirds AM
begin AM/Extended and Extended classes two hours late - Hummingbirds Ext., Finches AM/Ext., Bluebirds AM/Ext., Orioles AM/Ext., Orioles Ext. and Eagles. Children should arrive at 11:00AM for play and learning; they will be asked to eat lunch at home. Dismissal will be at 1:00PM.

If MCPS announces an early closing after classes have begun, we will initiate a telephone and/or email alert to notify parents. If MCPS cancels classes, CLC will cancel all classes. Most radio and television stations in the area announce school closings or delays before 6:00am.

Diagnostic & Developmental Screenings

A number of diagnostic and developmental screenings are available to CLC students. These screenings can and do pinpoint difficulties which otherwise may go undetected and may detract from a child's optimum development or enjoyment.

Vision and hearing screenings are conducted each year for all CLC students who have passed their 3rd birthday. The fee for these screenings is included in tuition.

Also available, are a speech screening and a developmental screening. These are conducted by appointment and are scheduled by the director, after discussion with parents.
